Last summer my work took us on a very extravagant weekend away at Whistler Mountain to celebrate the business’s ten year anniversary. They also gave us all swag bags with baseball style shirts and little goodies inside. As they aren’t people to do anything half way, they wanted a commemorative crest to go on the bags and shirts and designed it. I drew the design by hand and then my lovely husband vectorized it for the printers.
It was quite a fun little project and, although I’m not super happy with my lettering, I am pleased with the overall look. I work for a hair salon so I used tail combs, scissors, and shampoo bottles branded with the product line we carry to make up the crest’s decorative border. I kept the center simple with the roman numeral for ten.
I don’t have an image of the shirts, but the initial sketches, the bag, and close up of the crest are all below.
